Pretty much every year my beautiful client Tiara falls into temptation to chop off her healthy long hair that we've been growing out! I'll admit...Taraji's side swept fringe & gorgeous bob is very tempting! Even better is being able to achieve this celeb look without having to actually do the big chop. Soft, sassy bangs were cut to frame her face and finish off this look perfectly!

For Colored Girls?

I've been getting mixed reviews about For Colored Girls. Should I go see it? Is it depressing? #Iconfess I'm sort of over Tyler Perry. He along with many other African-American filmmakers believe Perry perpetuates "negative african-american stereotypes" ie the bitter or "angry/mad black woman" or "abusive/downlow/imprisoned black man". The stageplay was written by Ntozake Shange but after the rights were purchased by Lionsgate/Tyler Perry it was written, directed and produced by him. From what I hear the play was beautiful. I just want to see myself or the woman I aspire to be in one of his movies and I feel like I haven't yet. Aren't I supposed to? Should I go see it? Hmm? #YourThoughts

Sephora Haul

Today I headed down to Sephora bright & early to pick up my secret favorite fragrance (which will be featured as well at a later date). *wink*.  I also picked up Turkish Delight lip gloss recommended by a friend...

...which reminded me of an interview a while back when Glamblush asked my fav Kardashian, Kim (of course) what her favorite makeup brands were.  Peep her response below!

I'll admit that I was pretty skeptical about the quality of this next featured product after sampling it at  Sephora, but after giving it a try this morning before heading to work...almost in an instant I knew that there was NO way I could ever go back to my old mascara!  If a mascara doesn't flake, it stays in my makeup bag forever.

Okay! So somehow I stumbled upon this new artist by the name of Chris Stylez who's latest single, "Fade Away" was featured on 106Th & Park yesterday. Yes, I said 106Th & Park! Lol! I know right? I haven't tuned into that show since the good old Free & AJ days! Any who, somehow after a great nap this is what I'd awaken to & it's been playing in my head over and over since then!  Cute ℓove story. #ImAFan
